What the hell is Minecraft?

so I started actually playing this recently. I thought it was just about building shyt with blocks, but it's really an exploration/survival game. the graphics are obviously very simple, but it's actually a rather 'deep' game. you really have to think and plan if you don't want to constantly get lost and/or die, but that makes the payoff even better when you actually accomplish something

Ya I sat down recently and had my lil bro show me why the hell he likes the game so much.



Was playing knockoffs of Wario Ware, Hunger Games, Slenderman, Hide n Seek, and some FPS shyt. He had to travel some gigantic free-roam lobby with billboard-esque entrances to various game modes. Showed me his neighborhood. One guy had some enormous heart shape hotel as his spot lol. shyts deep.

it has real consequences for dying, and that creates real tension. it's not like other games where you can just run into a room of baddies, knowing that if you die, you'll just be back at the last 'checkpoint' with all your stuff. shyt, there's "real consequences" for getting lost. you can build and collect the coolest shyt ever, but if you wander off too far in the wrong direction, and don't properly mark your path and/or bring a compass and map, you might never find your stuff again

I copped this for Ps4 because my step-daughters love it.

Can't get into it at all, seems pretty pointless and you need way too much time (the time a 9 year old has) to enjoy it.

I just play the building mode (whatever it's called, the mode with no death). It's like playing legos. I built the most badass mansion. I even had an elevator .

Haven't picked it up in a year or so though...

My little nephew literally got so into this game at my crib once that he pissed on himself because he didn't wanna put the controller down. I coulda killed that nikka for that shyt.
