With NFL players its pretty much always violence, somewhere. You don't get that with other leagues.

Football players aren't taught to be violent off teh field. They're taught to play the game on the field and act respectfully off it like any other contact sport. Elite athletes everywhere tend to have high confidence. It's the same with soccer, hockey, etc.

Once somebody becomes conditioned to engaging in violence,using violence to solve disputes, and desensitized to violence in general...they're more likely to have difficulty not resorting to those means when conflict arises.

This is parallel with people who are in the military.

It's strange that nobody seems to ever question how football players can engage in violence on the field without a second thought...... but we got all sorts of fukking questions for why they didn't act in a certain manner when presented with conflict off the field.

This NFL players are knuckle dragging savages stuff is getting outta control....I mean they very well may be more inclined to be violent dudes for obvious reasons BUT when people try to turn a guy saying he believes in corporal punishment into some sort of insane, diabolical statement I'm ready to tune out. People holding football players to standards they don't even hold society at large too( where studies show the majority of Americans do agree with some form of corporal punishment).

There are programs for people in the service to supposedly "re-adjust" to being a normal member of society... but if you take a visit to any given VA hospital, you'll find countless dudes who can't unlearn the shyt that made them effective at what they did....especially people involved in combat.

What's wrong with this, is that the people really don't acknowledge the reality of this...or that being conditioned to act in a certain manner, is not simply something one can always turn on and off depending on the scenario.
