This is the fukkery of Wall Street. Amazon got propped up for damn near 10 years on investment dollars while they sold at a loss (free shipping days, remember that?). Then, once they got their evil empire in place, here comes the hook to the chin.
It's not propping it up if you realize the potential of an idea that is generation-defining and gain thousands of percent on your investment for you and your clients. That is precisely the role Wall Street should play in markets.

I see what you're saying, but I think if you can con enough people into throwing enough money at you for long enough, you can create a monopoly in any market. We seen plenty of these kinds of ideas fall off because they got bad press or the market tanked at the wrong moment.

Remember when amazon sold just only books :lupe:

The convience is just too much now, I've been a prime member for close to 10 years now but I clearly remember before that being damn near afraid of buying anything online, first place online I ever ordered something from was eBay. Only really tested Amazon cause of the college discount option but haven't looked back after that, I have Amazon dash buttons all over my place and now when I go to buy something that is not food, I price check it on Amazon first.

Outside of convience I think a overlooked thing Amazon is being able to see reviews (written, pics and videos) by other people, back in the day with a new item if you bought and it sucked you had no way, outside of word of mouth knowing that it did

Which leads me to my final point, customer service, there shyt is top notch, how they pull it off I have no idea, but anyone knows that the worst part of physical shopping is having to return something

I've literally bought something, used it, decided it was junk, waited 2 months, messaged Amazon and returned with a full refund.

I've bought something it didn't work as intended, hit up Amazon got a full refund and been allowed to keep it

No dummy teenage customer service rep at a box store, no stockin fee, none of that, only a quick trip to UPS
