Why do people INSIST on pitbulls???
There are a million other types of dogs that are known for loving family friendlyness, yet folks LOVE the most notorious,violent, fighting, unpredictable, muscle freak dog there is.

Pit bulls are also known for being loving. What people have done to that breed is evil. For me, the first rule of dog ownership is to remember that a dog is a dog, not a human being. ANY dog, can snap under the right conditions and hurt someone. I feel like too many people become so emotionally attached to their pet that they complete become disconnected wth reality and feel their dog would NEVER hurt anyone. That's first. Just as important it's about training and the environment it lives in. Dogs mirror energy in an Amazing way. I agree that there needs to be more caution around ANY large breed dog but I hate the stereotyping of one breed over another. Each situation is different, and some individual dogs regardless of breed just have a rough personality too. You have to actually own a dog yourself to understand this. Live with one and study their personality. I have a blue nose pit and a black lab.

It's the truth tho. The breed is too violent and people in general are too stupid to control such an animal. Since any fool can own one they should be banned. The safety of the general public shouldn't depend on whether some idiot is training their dog properly.
Pits are naturally dog aggressive not people aggressive.
My boy had a Redboy-Jocko pit that would kill any dog that broke loose and came in the yard but was great around the other dogs we had, kids, babies and all people that she encountered.
