It is and it isn't. Got to have that big match build up and feel. Otherwise you get a Cena/Orton situation 1v1 on 4 consecutive PPVs.

Look at Bret vs Michaels. They only wrestled on PPV 3 times.

There aren’t any wrestlers who could have a storyline that FEELS organic that at some point, features a moment where it transcends the wrestling crowd.


We have too much exposure to whats behind the curtains for a truly transcendent “HOLY shyt” moment that has everyone everywhere talking about it even if it’s in passing in other forms of sports/entertainment

Here’s another thing too….NONE of these wrestlers have a catch phrase or theme song that EVERYONE knows. That shyt goes a loooong way in creating something transcendent

LA Knight and CM Punk promo wise

Beyond that since the Hardys have worked in WWE recently I'd say Punk vs. Jeff Hardy again, but switch up the dynamics a bit. Ideally Punk would be the veteran babyface and Hardy would be jaded and spiteful. I know the feud won't get as dark as it could though. What I mean is the drug stuff actually playing into the story with Punk being the role model and Jeff wanting forgiveness for his past, but Punk refusing to accept that Hardy has changed. Jeff could snap on some "I tried to be a changed man, but you wouldn't let me be that!"

The feud could branch off into a Jeff vs. AJ storyline with AJ being on Punk's side playing off the TNA redemption storyline that they did years ago.
