In a lot of black households, the “butter” container, usually Country Crock was reused as a container for leftovers. You go to get some butter, and it’s leftover greens. But there was actually butter in the container, so the generational curse is broken. It’s unserious, because this isn’t an actual curse, we’re just not doing the things our parents did.
