The Sultan was a old fat dictator cac keeping all the riches to himself and eating up all the food in the kingdom / Jafar homeland …..Jafar was trying to give the kingdom back to the people and just imprison the Sultan. knew this since 5. Dude was a whole loaded message. Lowkey the subplot was about war and propaganda. Itsuki talked about how they trained him as a weapon and then now considered him a threat for trying to expose Spirit World. PTSD, plus Japanese societal dynamics.. dude was the smoothest non corny villain. Exhibited the actual disgusting narcissistic traits of a psychopath once his “cool demeanor” was exposed as a front
