Jay has a big catalog with great bums but a couple :francis: ones and all of them have at least a couple gems so I gotta start from the top of work my way down.
RD
BP1/TBA (changes depending on mood, BP1 for production, TBA for lyrics)
AG
Vol 1
Vol 3 (beats were probably Jay worst project but he saved a lot of songs as a spitter)
Vol 2 (not a big fan of this album but the singles are undeniable)
Dynasty
KC
MCHG
BP3
BP2 (if cut in half would've been much higher)

So the answer is BP2 :ehh:

Magna Carta

Vol 3 was damn near his peak in MCing and arrogance, not wack at all.
Edit: I forgot I quoted you :russ: but I agree about Vol 3 seems to be a minority opinion

BP2 is easily his worst album. I will say though that if it was cut from a double album to a single album, taking the top half songs, it would be a very good album.

Worst? The one I've listened to the least is MCHG. Vol. 2 is up there (or down there I guess..) Won't be surprised if Kingdom Come is mentioned all throughout this thread. Those 3 always seem to be near the bottom of most Jay album lists.

FOH! It's a dope album. There's more good songs on it, than bad.

13. The Blueprint 2
14. Magna Carta Holy Grail
flawlessly garbage. It's straight up one of the worst Jay-Z albums ever.
Album is extremely dull, I don't see the hype. Not a single standout track, nothing I'm compelled to play almost a decade later.

Lil Wayne and Drake went harder on Ignorant Shyt IMO.

Ignorant shyt was the standout, and I don't even count that. You're absolutely right. It appeals to the dull.

Lil Wayne and Drake went harder on Ignorant Shyt IMO.

I don't understand the hate for Kingdom Come. I think Just Blaze and Dr.Dre did a great job producing on this album, album has a nice grown man sound to it pretty cohesive too, and the Young Chris whisper flow don't bother me like that...

Lost One, The Prelude, Oh My God, Anything, Beach Chair, Minority Report, 30 Something are good tracks off the top of my head and that's most of the album.
