Leonardo had already completed four of fewer than 20 paintings generally attributed to him. He was now working on two more, "Madonna and Child," a small painting now at St. Petersburg's State Hermitage Museum, and "Adoration of the Magi," an unfinished nativity scene now housed at the Uffizi in Florence.
hmm not bad. if you keep going he didn't make his best work until he was in his 50's
