What was Prodigy thinking dissing the Def Squad for no reason?

"Don't even speak when you see me...I'm gonna get on some old high school shyt and start punching nikkas in the face just for living."

And then he he got punched in his face just for living and tried to hide under a car.

Keith Murray is one of those dudes you could tell was kinda crazy and I heard the LOD was wild as fukk.

Redman wasn't a punk either and he ran with some savages from Jerz.

I can commend the bravery I guess. But that was totally out of left field. It's not like they were wack. That " crazy space shyt that don't even make no sense" used to knock. It seems if you wanted to call someone out on your debut there were much better targets to choose.

none that disqualifies that as their debut album... ras kass is from the west coast and mentioned hit it from the back on soul on ice.
That's fine but when the average hip-hop head thinks of Mobb Deep they think of The Infamous as their debut and coming out party. Most people have never listened to Juvenile Hell and don't even know it exists.

I don't think he was talking about them specifically, a lot of rappers around that era were on that spaced out/weed tip..It just seemed to represent everything Mobb Deep didnt lol. That coke habit probably didn't help him hold his tongue either

Poetical prophets to mobb deep your dam Skippy that album counts.

Hav downplayed the albums impact on noreaga drinkchamps, But that album charted and I remember the video they had.

Gangstarr fukkin wit you was the cosign especially back then and I believe premier put them on.

Eh...Def Squad was buzzing and The Infamous dropped right on the heels of Dare Iz A Darkside and The Most Beautifullest Thing in This World ...two albums full of "how high you get and how much weed you smoke and crazy space shyt that don't even make no sense" material. I think it was pretty clear who he was talking about, as most fans assumed as much.

Prodigy's mouth got Mobb Deep into problems with The Def Squad and Jay Z and probably others. I know Havoc was looking at dude like :beli::whoa::snoop: at times.

Mobb Deep got put on by P's aunt who was deep in the music biz. He said it in his book. His mom was a replacement singer in The Crystals for a while.

And Juvenile Hell was :trash: and 3 people bought it. The best thing to come out of that album is Prodidy's struggle LD class dancing in the Hit It From the Back video.
