pain is a better beat. everything about the production of that sample flip is perfect. even w/o vocals its incredible which is why no one that has taken it on has sounded bad over it.
take it in blood, slightly a better song, though. the og & the unreleased include some of nas' most clever and thoughtful rhymes, ever.

both top 5 tracks in top 5 rapper's catalogs

both in my top 5 of each artists tracks

Nas rhyming on Take It In Blood was on another level but I think that Pain is the better beat and might be a better overall song

Difficult choice, I think the vocal sample hook "I'm made it like that, I bought it like that, I'm livin like that" of Take It In Blood just stands out so much to me, along with Nas verses but pain is a great beat. Stretch should have just focused on production he had his own sound, very interesting ear.

The Pain beat (the version from Above the Rim) isn't produced by Stretch

Stretch produced this version. I forgot who produced the Above the Rim version. I gotta find out again

Live squad got the production credit

So it was either stretch Majesty or k low or all 3
