What was the best NON-Final Fantasy OG PSX JRPG?

And Lunar. I ran through so many dope rpg on PSX, I was hoping Sony would continue that trend with the PS3 and PS4. But they didn't

Man this was the era that made me a video game junkie....Chrono Cross....lunar .......Xenogears......but out of all of them I think I gotta go with Chrono Cross

This. Vagrant Story was just a beautiful game, I would take an HD remaster of that game all day.

Legaia, Chrono Cross and Star Ocean are all neck and neck...the fighting systems in all were revolutionary at the time

I personally loved Dragoon but a lotta revisionist history in here, that game was considered when it was initially released

Half of the games mentioned in here I bought and never played, and I just downloaded the rest (and the previously bought) and threw 'em on my PSP to most likely never be played.


My career backlog may be GOAT status.

I'm still upset we never got the whole Xenogears story and for that matter the whole Xenosaga story. Xenogears was episode 5 of a planned 6 episode series and Xenosaga was supposed to be 6 episodes as well but was reduced to 3. I still say Episode 3 of Xenosaga is one of the greatest RPGs I've ever played. I liked it better than Xenogears even.

yeah like Xenosaga is technically all prequels and epi 4 was supposed to be the bridge between and then Xenogears then epi 6 was to wrap it all up with finding out exactly what the hell the Wave Existence was, and why it and the Zohar makes people and things so powerful and what not.

I just wanted another game with my A-squad of Citan, Fei and Billy
