Anyone aaying it had no impact is clearly :flabbynsick: and delusional. :russ:

That whole movement is what killed the baggy jean bullshyt. I was in 9th grade down in Florida back in 09 when this was going on. I saw the shift first hand.:stopitslime:
than you would know that it was the dipset/rockstar movement that killed baggy jeans:gucci:

People was wearing slimmer jeans in 07 around the F&L and Graduation period. Skinny jeans definitely became more popular after jerkin tho.

We can disagree, but I did not see the skinny jeans movement taking off in Queens until these cats came through.
You must have not been cognitive during the time period.

We had our own dance crazes with Aunt Jackie/Go Stupid/Chicken Noodle Soup and of course Lite Feet. This was a good 2-3 years before Jerkin. In the getting lite era people used to wear skinny jeans, colorful clothes, and sneakers. The video below happened right outside my school and this was '07, and you already see the skinny jeans and in general more fitted jeans, purples, greens, browns, yellows, matching sneakers, etc.

The fashion was already trending to tighter clothes with the boot cut True Religion, Ed Hardy tees, B.B. Simons belts that dudes like Juelz, Jimmy, Max was wearing.

The alternative, creative hood kids that shop at department stores in SoHo and wore street brands was wearing tighter jeans. Ferg, Rocky, Teyana Taylor was on some different shyt and this is before they were famous.

I don’t think we were wearing skinny jeans when chicken noodle soup came out.

When people was getting lite skinny jeans was being worn so around '07, if you see the video I posted you'll see skinny jeans. Chicken Noodle Soup video was right before that and in that video its some pretty colorful clothes and sneakers being worn too. Jerkin' had no impact on fashion in NYC.
