Is dying light worth $20? I'm not really into the genre, but it's cheap on steam right now. Will I like it, if I didn't like Dead Island?

Never got to play Dead island before this but apparently it's from the same folks that made that series so the similarities are there.
- Zombies.
- Weapon Degredation
- Weapon crafting (Well you more add elemental damage and boost stats than create actual cobbled weapons like in Dead Rising)

But from what I've heard us that Dying Light gets the formula right this time with the free running elements (Not sure if this was done in the Dead Island series) and the weapons (Melee oriented, Gun play I feel was made deliberately clunky so that the player would think twice on trying to turn himself into a walking armory once guns were available)

Not sure if Dead Island had the little Rpg element where you gained new skills and abilities by levelling up the three core attributes (Running, Fighting, Survivor skills which you get from helping people on quests and completing missions.)

Personally I like climbing on shyt and the game does a pretty good job at letting you move near flawlessly through the roofs and crowded alleyways with the mechanics. Also the thrill you get from being out at night. :krs: Haven't had that much fun panicking in a game since Prolly Clock tower. If you've a Ps4 or the Xbone the demo should be out. Give it a go if you unsure of spending 20 quid on a game you might grow to despise.

Thanks. I didn't know there was a demo. I'll check it out.
