MMG last win was on June 11, 2014.
This was the day rick ross saw the results of his hard work of one of the biggest beefs in his career. Rick ross went against a hiphop Titan that had played a major role in ruining the careers of several rappers, one of which (ja rule) was much more popular than ross was at his peak.
Instead of back down or essentially avoid the beef by sending subliminals or one line responses (like the king of NY jay z does) ross went in head first, knowing his opponent had ruined the careers of other rappers before and that his opponent previously had been much more popular.
Ross was attacked by the entire g unit crew on wax and stood his ground. He was told by 50 cent that the "death blow" would kick in by "the next record" after deeper than rap.
Ross kept dropping dope music, including diss records. While 50 was able to effectively remove other rappers from the mainstream hip hop scene, he could not do this to ross.
All battles need a winner and a loser, and ross proved he was the winner this year by proving he weathered the storm, dropping an album that sold 179k first week and is within 40,000 records of the 400k mark.
It was proven that ross' opponent was indeed the loser on June 21, 2014, when it was revealed that, only months after ross did 179k, he could only do a pathetic 47k.
