Gave a presumably homeless breh panhandling a hundred dollars tonight.

Had a neighbor who lived next door.
dude was a drinker but was cool as fukk
and always kept an eye on my crib when
i was gone or hit me when the police were
riding heavy.
one day he runs over and tells me
that his daughter reached out to him.
(shes pregnant and about to get married)
and was gonna be in town in a week or two
and wanted to see him......she hadnt seen/talked
to him in years.
he invites me up for a beer and starts showing
me the suit he's gonna wear and outfits to impress her.
it was all shyt from the 70's and dry rotted to shyt.
the pride on his face had me fighting back tears.
I told him we gotta get him ready,finished my beer and left.
got on the phone with a homegirl who worked
at a rent a center to (run the hustle)
"i pay her cash and she does the paperwork"
we had a bedroom set,living room set and
a dining room set delived to a smokers crib i knew
and took the shyt out the back the second the truck
pulled off.
I took all of it to my neighbors crib,set it up and a
few days before his daughter got there took dude
to get a fresh cut, a tight fit for every day the daughter
was gonna be there and cash to show her a good time.
she showed up,they cried and hugged and he introduced
me to her as his best friend.
he died maybe 6 months after that.......he was a good dude.

I let her find a ride before I kicked her out my crib. What can I say? I'm not a complete a$$hole. I even let her chill on the porch till her ride showed up. I love my daughter that much fam.
When I was like 13-14 me and my pops pulled some nikka out of a rolled over car off 87th & King drive if I can remember correctly

I was going into Charleys philly steak and this homeless sister and her 5 year old daughter was hungry and I got them a meal... some customers and a few workers was looking at me like 
they was black at that...
that experience a few years back right there told me, black people ain’t shyt when it comes to our own...
