Nah that shyt was hard back in 2006

I gotta go with Lil Wayne Lollipop, Amilli was a strong single but Lollipop was cringey

But the real question should be, which follow up single was better than the debut. I gotta go with J Kwon. Tipsy was cool but Hood Hop was classic

What?

Lollipop was the first official single from C3. Then A milli. Both are good songs though and Lollipop was the number 1 song in the country

:picard: That’s a Top 10 T.I. Track

Be easy got play this way

Prolly spottemgottem

24’s was nice and Be Easy was hard af, you trippin

I didn't mean Be Easy was bad. I like the song. It didn't preform as well as 24's and Rubberband Man preformed better than both singles.

This was a time when people weren't on the internet as much and music was a lot more regional. I liked TI from the moment I heard 24's but mostly older people here weren't into him until he dropped Rubberband Man. At the time rappers that weren't from the East Coast still needed certain songs to break though to other regions to have staying power across the nation. Other examples of this was when The Game came out with Dreams, and when Young Jeezy came out with Go Crazy. I remember both rappers talking about this before.

I remembered about TI getting more popular after Rubberband Man only because someone else brought up Young Dro with Rubberband Banks. In that song Dro uses more metaphors and punchlines which at the time was what people wanted to hear in the East Coast.

I think it's a lot easier to name dope follow-up singles than bad ones. Usually, if an artist's first single isn't good or doesn't go anywhere, they regroup and come back with a better second single.
