Real talk, I didn't like it. I felt let down when I bought it and listened to it the first time.

Album grew on me though and I enjoyed it later on.

It's weird because you can make an argument that was 808's and Heartbreaks of the Wu Catalog, like on paper the production was off putting and grating but after a few listens you realize what he was trying to achieve and it was actually ahead of it's time. With that said, it's actually not my personal favorite RZA album, I actually preferred Birth of a Prince.

Had some filler but a few legendary tracks imo

Kiss of black widow, nyc everything, holovaust, domestic violence, daily routine, mantis, unspoken word, love jones, lovin is digi all classics

And he shoulda kept windpipe and the chase for this. The end with rass and the az track also make good additions for vibe.

An underrated era. Never felt the hate.
