I'm not military and I got in. Although it was almost 20 years ago and I started as a mail room clerk.

It's not impossible though. Just understand it could take 4-8 months for a response and to fill the position. Even when you're a government employee it can still take a few months.

Yep, just gotta keep trying. Location means a lot too. I'm in the DC area and obviously there are tons of jobs here.

LinkedIn and get a professional account so you can see who he recruiter is, how much the job is paying and what types of skills are applying for the job.

In my area they not paying much for a desk job.
