He's been consistently putting out better mixtapes than retail albums.. Even as good as Teflon Don and God Forgives was, they were both watered down versions of Albert Anastasia and Rich Forever..

He's one of them artists that being on a major label actually hurts..

Black Market was great. The songs that would have really sold the album had horrible hooks

Color Money had great energy, flow and bars but the hook was
".........................color money..........................................color money" :wtf: Ross

Then he had a chance to make Ghostwriter an incredible song due to its rarely discussed nature by rappers on tracks but the hook was

"I be so lonely at the tooooooop.......I be so lonely at the top.....I be so lonely at the top
I be so lonely at the tooooooop.......I be so lonely at the top.......I be so lonely at the top"
C'mon Ross :wtf:

It's really just listener fatigue with Rick Ross

He's been out since 06 and has rapped about the same thing since, no matter how good his next album is it will have the same results. This is also the same thing that will happen to trey songz because that mixtape was dope and nobody cared
said everything that was in my head

Black Dollar is easily top 3 projects of 2015. Wish he dropped an Itunes quality version

My Pops Forever RIP
There was nothing in it for Def Jam anymore to promote it since Rick looked like he was on his way off the label.

but I agree with it being listener fatigue. There's a difference between consistency and redundancy. After a while you realize he's not adding anything new to his persona, his lyrics, and now his production while still good is more or less the same.

1.The Black Dollar mixtape was exceptional
2.The Black Dollar unreleased tracks were incredible
3.The Black Market album was just a terrible followup to an incredible mixtape.. Similar to GFID after releasing Rich Forever.

I mean whoever on his team, they kinda fukkin up consistently.
1. True
2. True
3. False. It's a good/great album, IMO. It's not traditional Ross' though. People claimed he needed to be "different" he was "different" and they didn't appreciate it.

And GFID >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rich Forever.

album is solid, if people gonna judge an album off of sales instead of the music than that's on them. this might be one of my favorite albums from him since it showed growth as an MC and a artist.
