Schoolboy Q, Vince Staples, and the Chicago drill movement would like a word with youWho influenced hip hop culture more though? I still see traces of Cam/Dipset in 2014. Can't say the same for 50 Cent and G-Unit, despite their mainstream appeal.

well gangsta rap is pretty much dead but he did influence them chiraq nikkaz and all these other swag rappers are influenced by YeWho influenced hip hop culture more though? I still see traces of Cam/Dipset in 2014. Can't say the same for 50 Cent and G-Unit, despite their mainstream appeal.

Chief Keef is pretty much the result of listening to G Unit growing up, his mom said it her damn self.. the nikka has a song coming out dedicated to G Unit.. and hes pretty much the face of that scene so thats why I said the movement, obviously not every drill rapper but the main rapper is influenced by G Unit and that movement wouldnt be where it is without Chief Keef, Fredo is inspired by them too.You reaching hard with the Chicago drill movement
If anything, that's inspired by trap music.
Cam has too many to name. He had superstar like influence despite being a b-level artist.
what about Kanye? i see alot of kanye influenced artyist way more 3bhChief Keef is pretty much the result of listening to G Unit growing up, his mom said it her damn self.. the nikka has a song coming out dedicated to G Unit.. and hes pretty much the face of that scene so thats why I said the movement, obviously not every drill rapper but the main rapper is influenced by G Unit and that movement wouldnt be where it is without Chief Keef, Fredo is inspired by them too.
We see more of Cams influence than 50 Cents now because were in a era where nikkas put so much focus on "swag", and Cam was the epitome of that in his prime.. and while Cam may have more of an influence that doesnt change the fact that G Unit made better music than Dipset in their prime and still do in 2014.. solo wise or group wise:smug50:
stop trying to rewrite historyG unit was insanely popular among white suburban teens and white Europeans from 03-05. That's where the record sales come from. Eminems white fan base. That doesn't translate to cultural impact. Eminem sold more than nas (to majority white people) that does not mean his hiphop influence was bigger. Take out g units sales to white suburban kids and white euros and they'd have less sales than dipset

I think that goes without saying, Kanye pretty much killed gangsta rap.. the childish gambino/kid cudi types wouldnt exist if it wasnt for him.. also carved out a lane for guys like Drake, J Cole and Kendrick to become superstars without having to fake what they arewhat about Kanye? i see alot of kanye influenced artyist way more 3bh

hes gotta be trolling, hes a white guy who grew up in a rich neighborhood and wasnt even listening to rap outside of Eminem in 02-04 when G Unit mixtapes had every hood on lock so he'd know nothing about their comeup, he first heard about 50 cent on Eminems album
