What went on up there? Poppers and weird sex!
I'm guessing things would have eventually turned out the same way with Awesome Truth breaking up, maybe right after WrestleMania. But for some reason, they decided to expedite it after Truth violated the wellness policy and both guys were lost for a long time.
The only thing I can think of is Truth would have been in the WWE Championship match at TLC, making it a fatal four-way. And then Awesome Truth breaks up at some point before WrestleMania, leading to a match between them. They probably run that feud for another couple months, then they go their separate ways. But something tells me Vince lost faith in them after Survivor Series, so even if Truth didn't get suspended, he was going to break them up anyway. And Truth could have still faced Miz at WrestleMania, so the suspension wouldn't have affected anything.
You know what? Vince really did lose faith in them after Survivor Series and decided to shut it down as soon as possible. Truth getting suspended just made it easier.
