A little OT but related to the thread title: Ethan Page turning the NA title to focus on Canada right after MJF brought back the American patriot gimmick for Mistico is

I know it’s not exactly an original AEW idea (Lance Storm in WCW comes to mind), but we all know what MJF turned the Intl title to and Page doing this as MJF brought back this gimmick is

Not to nitpick. But he really didn't change the championship. He's still calling it the North American Championship. He changed the strap color to reflect the Canadian flag. It's not like Lance Storm renaming the US title the Canadian Heavyweight title or MJF renaming the International Championship to the American Championship. It's basically just changing the old school Intercontinental title strap from black, to white, or blue etc.

But I'm not going to die on that hill over something so frivolous.

I saw the picture of the title before I posted the OG post. Sure it’s not exactly the same as renaming it and getting a new title, but the influence is there.
