What world did yall live that console wars didnt exist before ?

There were no console wars. At most we'd debate which game looked better on a system but nobody stanned a console. We wanted to play good games and if you had a genesis and I had NES, come through and we'll play.

Console wars is just internet trolling.

I agree. I don't know what everyone else is talking about, I know I didn't get into physical fights or huge arguments over consoles. That only happened with games, mostly fighters where players got mad when they lost repeatedly or when one of the players was bringing the petty talk.

I dunno about that era, I'm talking 80's and 90's. I graduated in '95. The Sega vs Nintendo beef was serious. The "Mortal Kombat" shyt was serious, the "Madden" shyt was serious.

Back in the day I was a Nintendo fan but i still played Sega. My cousin had one and i'd go over there and play Sonic and all that. There days people are so divided a Microsoft fanboy won't play Uncharted.

Yea just the simple fact that they would take shots directly was evidence a war was on. Now, they just send little congratulatory tweets. The genesis/SNES was super brutal. I remember my cousin telling me whites would say the Genesis was for ******s because its black and cheaper. Of course, I don't know how true that was, but kids who did have a SNES thought they were better then Genesis kid. I came of age next gen. PS kids were shytting on 64 kids because they could play CDs while 64 dudes were paying 80$ to blow in catrideges. But when 64 dudes were getting piff like Ocarina, Goldeneye, better wrestling titles, they were like I think that Hacksaw nikka is liar. How you been gaming since Atari days but claim console wars just started now? Dude is just saying that shyt just to paint himself in a better light to look down on dudes in this subforum.
