My go to first date is a picnic.

I tell her to bring something arbitrary (like cups or ice) and that's it... Let it be a surprise. I tell her to meet me somewhere and then (surprise!) we drive to a park where I will have prepared sandwiches and bring along a bottle of champagne or wine and a little radio. Then just talk, listen to music, and sip 'til dusk, walk a little bit and enjoy the sunset, then usually back to the crib to @Smashius Clay, cuz by now she's pretty drunk and enamored.

No. I can't.

Because of my own personal reasons I eat several small meals throughout the day. The average (good) date is going to be at least 2-3 hours. If you want to see me past the first hour and a half then we need to be grubbin!

I didn't say it had to be expensive or even a whole meal but I got to eat!!!

Everyone has their preferences but I personally like dinner and a movie because you get to spend a lot of time with the person and the intimate one-on-one atmosphere will let you figure out what's what early on. It's high risk, high reward, but dates are supposed to be a test anyway so I like the challenge.
