What would be the reaction if NWA's EFIL4ZAGGIN came out in this climate of #metoo?

If this album came out today and people were to get offended, they could just not listen to it. It's that simple. Social media has made a bunch of nobodies think their opinion matters. If a rapper wants to rap about the things NWA is rapping about on this album they have a right to. And if people get offended they can jst not listen to the album. Sometimes I wish social media was never invented. Because a few people get worked up and run things for everybody. Now I dont codone everything they were talking on this album:whoa: but there is a thing called artistic freedom.

Eh there was a minor uproar when that album came out. Most of you were weren't old enough to remember. The album was particularly hostile towards women and most music publications called them out on it. Oddly enough one of the criticisms was them selling overblown street stories to appeal to wealthy suburban whites who liked hearing exagerrated stories. The one thing that is positive about the album is Dr. Dres immaculate production, though. Also MC Ren put on a clinic in Ice Cubes abscence.

"And shes only 14 and hoe, but the bytch suck dyck like a specialized pro" -MC Ren:picard:

I was about to make a thread about this! MC Ren bragging about getting his dikk sucked by a 14 year old. No way THAT part of the album would still fly today.

But yeah, the production of that album was insanely good (especially considering it was 1991). The lyrical content was often way over the top but I still enjoy the songs.

People overlook the message in the song nikka4life. Production was crazy. Here is the reason they made those songs. NWA’s follow up to fukk the police on the 100 miles & runnin ep got no attention. All people talked about was just don’t bite it so they decided to make half the album in that type of tone. Even today bytch ho songs still sell.

One of Dr Dre's best work. When I heard nikkaz4lyfe track for the 1st time, I couldn't stop nodding my head, the beat is straight flames.

Ren went hard on this album, you could hear his presence.
No shyt. He literally recorded his voice on the tracks :mjlol:
