What specifically would make the relationships better in your opinion?
they would be proper....the man being the provider and the female raising the children and watching the house....yeah yeah yeah i know this is considered primitive thinking in the minds for americans, but it actually work the best....

because look how fukked up everything is...this experiment has failed, feminism gave women so many options...they'll all confused n shyt.....

The question is only relevant to me in regards to the black community and in my opinion the black community(men and women) would be better off without it.

If you didn't want to answer the question or it wasn't relevant to you, why did you come in the thread? Espcially when you talked about the OP wanted to have a discussion. I do. A discussion can't be had if you don't want to answer questions and try to turn it into something else.

With the actual definition of what feminism is: the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.

What about that oppresses the black community?

What would women be like?
I can't even imagine what the psyche of the modern woman would be without it.
To be denied potential? Free will? The right to say no? The ability to be independent and not be treated as a pariah?
If you really take the time to think about how a human being could live without basic human rights, it makes you shudder.

What would social structures be like?
The social structures would be imbalanced. DV, harassment, and rape would be higher and passable.
Relationships would be out of wack. Marriage would be up, divorce rates would probably be down but that doesn't mean relationships and families would be better.
More misery from women feeling trapped.
Although when it comes to men, I think we would have more pressure to provide for our families. We wouldn't have the luxury of fukking around and waiting to "sow our oats before settling down" like we do now.
There's a lot to this question.

What would be gained or lost?
Women's contributions to society because they were allowed to be?
The scientists like Dr. Shirley Jackson
9539324_orig.jpg

A theoretical physicist whose research that lead to the invention of all things telecommunication :wow:

Stephanie Kwolek, the inventor of Kevlar. What about the contributors to the arts, literature, medicine, civil rights, etc?
A lot would be lost.

What has feminism destroyed that would be rectified if there was no feminism?
Destroyed is too strong of a word. Relationships have somewhat been altered because of it, especially after 3rd wave feminism. Some people feel like the sexual liberation of women has allowed men to evade commitment. Opinions vary on if things are better or worse when it comes to committed relationships and dating. I like it. :ehh: This could be its own thread.

Also how would the things like equal rights and fair treatment be achieved?
They wouldn't be. An oppressor never gives freedom to the oppressed unless a stand is made.
That's why I don't understand those who try and dissuade people from pointing out inequality or racism.

Feminism was and is necessary until women achieve true socioeconomic equality.
My only questions come from the extremists that pollute the movement and also the seemingly symbiotic relationship between feminism and the LGBTQ community (both whom I support).
For example, Lena Dunham:
""I have always felt a strong and emotional connection to members of the LGBTQ community," Dunham said. "It was actually a huge disappointment for me when I came of age and realized that I was sexually attracted to men. So when my sister came out I thought, ‘Thank God, someone in this family can truly represent my passions and beliefs.'" :dwillhuh:

I understand that both movements have common enemies in patriarchy, but a few seem like they HAVE to be synonymous.

Good discussion, sorry for the ramble.

The problem with what you're saying is that feminism doesn't live up to the dictionary definition and it never has.

We wouldn't have rights, we would be property instead of people. According to men that are against feminism, women having rights is what's wrong with America. American women having rights is the reason they don't want an American woman.
them white feminists hoes dont like u and the sooner blk women get rid of this feminist crap the better the community will be :coffee:

How would women be better off without feminism?

How does the definition of feminism hurt Black people?

In your opinion what would it be like?

What if women don't want a mate or someone to take care of them? What if she doesn't have or want kids? I think the point is we are past the base differences biologically and are supposed to on a higher level of cognition. Where it's not simply, man finds woman to take care of her and they have babies and she raises them. If that's the case men shouldn't complain about courting or paying for everything because most of the time in nature males court the female. That's how it we before feminism. But that's not the point of this.

Happier how?

i dont think we are past that bioligically tho. because single women are mserable especially when they get older. this is easy to see with social media now. men learn the skills to approach and attract a female but modern women dont learn the skills to keep their man. the man is the prize. man can be happy single and screwing around all our life because bioligically we are still wired to do that. just like women are still wired to keep the best mate possible. they dont know how to keep the prize so they end up single and miserable. no matter how many times you listen to beyomce single ladies. theres nobody more miserable than a career driven woman whos got to be a boss but is still single at 30. women dont like being a boss. they love a dominant man whos in control. this is where feminsim doesnt work. if women are comoletely honest with themselves.

You're ignoring my answers.

I'm not, you never really answer you just keep trying to steer it to be what you want it to be. We get it you are against feminism. But with the good that feminism has actually accomplished the rights women have their contributions to society because they are allowed to vote, and work (be promoted), learn, invent, discover, etc...

Since you are against feminism, how could we get what the definition says its supposed to be without it? How would we be better off with women having less rights and access to things? Looking for a real answer besides its its a joke or we'd be better, or feminism is _______, or I feel this way about feminism...

You don't have to be a feminist to be for equal rights for women. Your question doesn't really make any sense.

My questions make perfect sense, how do you think those right were achieved? If there wasn't a group fighting for them, like anything else that is fought for, how would it have been achieved? And what about every else that was said. I went back and edited for better understanding.
