HIGH SCHOOL:
not a muthafukkin' thing.

I went to one of the most ghetto ass high schools in the country and turned out fine.
my school was known for nothing but pumping out prisoners and baby mommas

i went there, stayed to myself, graduated, and left for college.

never got bullied or clowned on, wasn't getting any p*ssy either (except from my girl), didn't do drugs and drink or any silly shyt like that..

if i could do it all over again, i'd do it the exact same way.

COLLEGE:
I'd have never gone to HBCU's.

I was so militant that I refused to even look at white people. i would sometimes go MONTHS without seeing white people (unless it was on TV) and was :blessed:

i wasted 4 years of my college life at HBCU's where my education was straight pigeonholed

i eventually got my degree from a PWI. and would have gotten it sooner had I just gone there from the jump.
How was the social experience at the HBCU? Did you enjoy it and the women? Parties? Met a lot of people?

i wasted alot of time having girlfriends in HS:scust:

i could have smashed way more chicks if i just stayed single:mjcry:

but i did get a lot of p*ssy cause hoes was envious and mad at my girlfriends:patrice:

so maybe i could have just had them for shorter periods so that the hate could build:patrice:

Nothing, no regrets. Everything that I have done and been through has built me up to the character I am today.:wow:

Social experience at HBCU's was excellent, made lifelong friends, several of the people from my mass communications department are working in the music industry now

Parties every weekend in the student center. Didn't even have to get dressed up, just walk 15 feet and you're in the club.

The women were :ohlawd: cornbread thick dimes everywhere.

I'll never forget, in high school I got 0 play from females, my first week on an HBCU campus this chick told me and another dude "we'll run a train on y'all" and dapped her girl up - shyt was like a new world

Lots of fun, but not good for people serious about their education.

Been serious about secondary languages. Never loaned/gifted nikkas money, including my mother. Stayed in the lab longer and hang out (more) with the international students who tended to be more focused then and now successful in their careers/businesses/finances unlike some of the knuckleheads I gravitated to for Spring Break in South Beach, All Star Weekend, and "18 to dip 21 to sip. Ladies free with college ID on Thursdays" gang.

In hindsight strong networks are needed to advance and we are competing in a global market instead of our "white vs. black" village that we hold so dear. Still was able to live, study, and work abroad but still things may have panned out differently if I had surrounded myself with the right people earlier in life. I knew better but like most nikkas just did what I wanted to do when I wanted to do it.

I would've showed up to class more often

I would've done more than just enough to pass

I would've taken my SAT/ACT

I would've at least attempted to apply to colleges

I wouldn't have started smoking weed

I would've told her I loved her

I would've stayed at home and never left Charlotte

Quite a few things actually.

I would have been more forceful and vocal in defending my close friends when they were bullied.

Those dudes never tried it with me for two reasons. First because I was definitely in the top 5 biggest/strongest kids in my grade, also as awkward as I was, I think my place in the social ladder was just above "bully-me at-will"-status.

Unfortunately, two of my closest friends weren't quite there, and they used to get clowned on a daily basis. At the time, I just shrugged it off as 'harmless roasting' but looking back, the frequency with which it occured, it was definitely bullying and I should have stood up for them:francis:

Would have grabbed my crush's ass right back, after she slapped mine, instead of just standing there with the Goofy "Oh Shucks" expression.

:scust:@ how I didn't even try to holla at her. She had made so many moves on me and was making it so obvious at that point:snoop:

Also, (with the benefit of hindsight) I wouldn't have let my place on the social ladder have affected me as much as it did.

Even though I wasn't nerd-status, and was friends with quite a few of the cool kids, I was never considered to be one of them, if I went back now I wouldn't have let that shyt bother me.

I would have just talked to the people I was good with and wouldn't alter my behaviour for anybody. Basically, I would have been myself 100% of the time, and not just in front of my close friends. My attitude would have been, "This is me, ya'll. You either fukks with me or you don't:manny:"

Another one, instead of admiring the most popular girls in school (that I would never get:comeon:anyway), I would have gone for the girls, outside the popular group who I thought were cute and wouldn't give a fukk about their place on the social ladder or what other people thought about them.

On the sports side, I would have done A LOT more cardio, to make myself the fittest member of the team. Even if my actual skill level remained the same, an improved level of fitness would have given me the confidence to take more risks and to maintain concentration near the end of the game when others were losing theirs due to the fatigue

High School:

Definitely would have taken it more serious. I think I had the lowest GPA of my class lol or bottom three. It wasn't because I was stupid because I'm smarter than a lot of the people who finished Top 10 now that I look back at it, but I had no motivation and never took it seriously at all. The only class I ever took serious was journalism because I was interested in it and American History cause the teacher was pro-black. He let us watch Roots which I had never seen at that point :damn: but they removed me from his class so it was back to fukk it.

If I took it serious then I could have been researching and mapping out my plan for college. Scholarships/Majors/etc.

Would have went after more chicks. I dropped so many gimmes and ended up just being friends with a lot of girls because I didn't shoot my shot.

College:

I got in community college two years after HS. I took the first semester seriously but nothing after that. I ended up getting dropped from all the classes and my financial aid put on lockdown cause I wasn't going. Had to pay the school back 2K and then I finally transferred to the University I'm at now. Instead of playing around on the internet I could have used it to find the path that I wanted to follow but it took years later for me to get motivated enough to find that. It took a three year break from school and working a bullshyt job to motivate me to get back in and push through. :whew: I made Dean's list my first semester at the university of Memphis and haven't failed a class yet *knocks on wood*

Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
Not too many regrets. Would have majored in Finance instead of Economics or at least have a finance or accounting minor. Would have started applying for jobs before I graduated. Could have tried harder in HS to get into a better school. My grades were A LOT higher in college actually :russ:

Wouldn't have been so hung over my ex junior year in college. I think I missed out on a truly great one because of it. :wow:
