Incarcerated Scarface’s or Ice Cream

That whole tape was ill and I always play it around Christmas time/early January while driving in the snow.

that's interesting you say you always listen to it around X-Mas/early January

cause i remember an interview where Raekwon was saying he always felt like it was a cold and warm weather album

Why was Ghost on so many of these tracks?

@BuddahMAC could probably answer this

but i just went and found this quote from Raekwon from the XXL Magazine issue where they talked about the making of the album

RAEKWON: In my eyes, Cuban Linx was always Ghost's album as well as it was mine. That's one thing about me. I already knew that me and him was a pair. So even through people felt like it was a Raekwon album, I looked at it like it was a Wu-Tang album, and this is me, and Ghost's departure right there, cause dudes don't really talk the street stuff like that. Or dudes talk it, but don't talk it the way we talk it. So when Ghost had put Wisdom Body up there on the album, I felt like, this track is definitely needed and it sound fly. I wasn't at the studio that day when he did it, but I knew that rhyyme he was gonna play, cause I remember RZA keep playing that beat over and over, like "Somebody gotta eat this." That's how RZA is. "Somebody gotta eat that. Whether you wanna eat it or not, somebody gotta eat that." And Ghost just ate it up alone

i guess it just all comes down to the chemistry him and Ghost have

Im in Detroit fam, so when it gets cold it gets cold. So I often listen to albums that match the setting, cold and dangerous outside. My top albums to play in the winter are:

Rae - Purple Tape
Shyheim - The Lost Generation
Ghost - Ironman / Supreme Clientele
Big L - Lifestyles ov da Poor & Dangerous
Nas - Illmatic / IWW / Stillmatic
A+ - The Latch-key child
Big Herk - Guilty As Charged
Rock Bottom Ent - Who Is Rock Bottom
Mobb Deep - The Infamous
Nas & Ill Will Records QB Finest Compilation
The Lox - We Are The Streets
Stretch Money - Takes Money to Make Money
J Dilla - Welcome to Detroit
Lord Finesse - The Awakening
Nas - Life is Good and
Slum Village - Volume 2 (on payday  )

I know this album is universally seen as a classic. But The 2nd half of that album is super strong.

IMO if that album was cut in half and the whole album was just that 2nd half I think that would be arguably the GOAT rap album

Brehhhh what aren’t you feeling from songs 1-8/9

I’d say wisdom body is the weakest sing on the album and it’s still unquestionably classic…or maybe ice cream bc it’s the most played.

Gambinos > H&H > North Star to close out an albums is just perfect tho

I like the first half of it don’t get me wrong but it’s crazy how much that album picks up in the 2nd half of it. He just hit another gear
