Getting a new PC.

I'm mad that I'm upgrading already. But I was listening to dudes like @Liquid and @itsyoung!! Talking that "cheap PC" shyt:beli: and now my system is barely meeting minimum requirements for new games coming out.
:dahell: i dont think either me or @Liquid assisted you in making your PC

The builds we do are very specific builds and usually have deals in them. Example one of the builds I did had a I7-4770k on sale for like $200..that was over a year ago i believe, deal was crazy.

If you just buying random cheap parts thats not what we are recommending and thats on you :yeshrug:

Last summer I built a PC with an I5 and a 660

Not directly but i used your "cheap computer" advice when considering which hardware to buy.
Read my edit from the post you just quoted.

Why does everyone here be like "i bought an i5" or "i have an i7". Theres different levels to them especially for gaming. I can find you i3's better for gaming than most i7s and i5s. What specific i5 did you get?

I5 3470. I actually didn't choose the CPU. It was already in the PC I had. I just upgraded the GPU.

But either way according to y'all, what i had was supposed to be sufficient for years to come. Just like the build @Liquid was recommending a couple months ago wont be sufficient for very long.

I'm just gonna buy a beast machine and not worry about that cheap shyt y'all be talking about.

The PC I had with a 280X will be fine for at least 2 years.

So you didn't choose the CPU huh..it was already in an OLDER build. The 3470 is almost a 3 year old CPU, but shouldn't have any problems playing games with the exception of the unoptimized ones.

The 660 should probably be upgraded soon, but what games are you having issues with exactly?

Sounds like you don't know wtf you are doing.

2 years isn't long enough :childplease:

In any other argument y'all claim these pcs will be sufficient for the entire generation. Why the fukk would i wanna be buying new hardware every two years?

And the witcher minimum specs are an i5 and a 660.

Its nothing I'm doing wrong. The hardware is just underpowered. I would have done much better spending an extra 50-100 instead of believing y'all with that cheap PC shyt.

You built it last year, but you are using 3 year old tech...and a new gen just launched.

Why exactly are you surprised?

at no point in time in the history of ever did we ever recommend a damn i5-3470 for gaming so no thats not "According to us" most our builds are with high powered processors and decent video cards and we save money on the RAM or some shyt (8 GB instead of everyone getting 16 GB) or hard drives or some shyt..

also I dont think either of us recommended a 660 in 2014 either.. Honestly that processor aint even that bad, if you are struggling to make requirements its because of that 660.. Is it at least a 660 TI :dahell: who told you to buy a 660 in 2014 ? :dahell: No one here for damn sure, you could of just bought a 760 for the same price

@MeachTheMonster bought a low-mid tier 3 year old video card and is blaming this on us :mindblown:

why didnt he buy a 760 or 760 TI if he was trying to save ? :mindblown: im sure theres even some AMD cards in that same price range that blow both out the water :mindblown:

why do people buy shyt before posting in the pc thread, then complain about it after :mindblown:

Nobody recommended those cards/cpu last year...you just sound like you didn't know wtf you are doing. Why exactly did you pick up a 660 over an AMD card at the same price range? And who recommended it to you?

BTW, your pc exceeds the minimum CPU requirements. The 660 is your weakest link here...I would have recommended the 7870 (which is what they list on the box). AMD GPU gives you more bang for buck over nvidia...anyone who really knows wtf they are doing knows that.

I wonder what he paid for that 660 because I am sure he overpaid..he could have got at least a 7870 or maybe even better if he did his homework.
