just like that fake ass joker movie, that wasn't even about the joker just using his name to get morons to go to see that trash

You have to look at the climate of superhero movies of that era. X-Men 2 and Spider-Man 2 were the heavy hitters at that time. Their story, settings, characters and music carried the movie. Nolan continued that same blueprint.

In today's climate, heroics is all about making a joke fade into another joke and shock value. DC has made itself into this gritty world where there can't be any colors in the film and this movie fits that agenda quite well.

He's going to be an edgy bat and will deliver on the action and mystery. Will it move the genre forward, we can only tell once it's out. Grounded superheroes is a welcome addition to the filth we have to watch over these past years.
