You know nothing about watches or fashion. Anyone that knows anything about watches would never buy a Gucci watch.

I have 5 of them....thats what he should have got

The ones i got were $200-$250

They maybe got some for $100-150

but thats Fossil prices

Im not really a fan on the look of the few I saw. I just read that the plating rubs off in 3 or 4 months also. You have that problem?

This... but I would consider sticking with just stainless or a two-tone. If you're looking to get her a watch she will enjoy for a long, long time and that will never go out of style, those are the way to go. I bought my wife a full gold [plated] Michael Kors and the gold [plating] began to wear off less than three months after I bought it. Needless to say I returned it and picked up a two-tone that she absolutely loves and seems to be holding up a lot better.

That's from a watch forum.

What's flashy to you may not be flashy to someone else, and vice versa. Everyone's taste is different (obviously).
It has nothing to do with watch "experience".

everyone does have different taste

but i still think that experience plays a part

i just find it comical that ppl would say that 80 dollar watch is flashy

its just about what your exposed to

if he sees those 20k rolexs then his opinion will change

luxury watches and the digital world shouldn't really hybrid

Not into watches, have one Burberry watch I wear maybe once a month. I like Michael Kors, have button ups and a t shirt or two, but the watches I've seen, glancing briefly in display cases are really tacky and gaudy, it's odd because the clothes are do dialed back. Would not wear a gold watch either.

Would you buy a car made by samsung? :heh:

If it was made right.

Plus, a watch is very different from a car. The reason why you buy a watch, at least for me, is the style to go with for different types of clothes, the build of the watch if it is an analogue watch, then to go dumb on people to show off my money when I feel like doing it. That's why you have a watch for different times.
