Proper Technique.Like, nah, for real. Most cats I know got razor bumps from shaving is the type of dudes who just drag Bic Razors across they face outside, got the shyts sounding like an apple being chewed.
Prepare your face with a wash and a hot towel, cream up (pause) and just cut against the grain of you using a razor of any sort, then wash and clean.
An electric razor worth it's salt also does wonders. No need to get lubed up with that method, just make sure your face is clean and cut.

Yep only way i ever been able to avoid them is using andis t outliners. Shave isn't as close but no bumps.
Might as well grow out that beard

Use an Andis T-outliner and get a blade setter to adjust the blades to be close enough for a good shave without cutting you up.
I use this to set my blades for my Andis
It's AMAZING. I tried setting the blades with the old "mirror method" and either couldn't set them close enough or set them to where it was cutting my face all the way up. Ever since, I rarely if ever have razor bumps.
Still, just to cover my bases, I use Tend Skin after shaving to minimize bumps.
Finally, stop using disposable razors period. They're not meant for most black men. Invest in the 50 bucks in the Andis and the 10 bucks for the blade setter and trust me, you'll never look back.

I can't grow a beard but grow hairs under my chin but it's patchy so I shave it..

Trust me breh, get a blade setter. I'm a big fan of it because for a time I was frustrated with how I couldn't get a close shave with the Andis.

yes you damn well do.If you're a black man your hair is more coarse. You have to soften it. Use conditioner on your face, let it linger for 3 minutes, wash it, and put it on again. Then just shave normally. That's all ya need.
