For the record, a lot of that SES stuff was fun at best. It wasn't earth shattering.

Nah I ain't mad, I am responding to people who have quoted me first with facts.
Jeff didn't make anybody CM Gawd would have gotten to where he was regardless because he can cut a great promo and is a great wrestler. :umad:
SES was a failure because they were sonning one of your favorites on a weekly basis? :umad:
So Vince gave a wrestler who he looked at as a joke the longest title run in years ?

Jeff Hardy at no point in his career was better than CM Gawd in ANY shape or form. Look at this thread dude been retired and he is on you dudes minds daily.

When was the last time someone made a Jeff Hardy thread? :mjlol:
He did make him, and everyone thought it at the time.

SES was a failure because Punk as a leader fukking sucks, he picked all of his friends for the group, who were no talent losers, and they all ended up getting fired and all Punk could do is cry about it on twitter. "Luke Gallows is one of the most talented men in the business" :mjlol:

Vince thought he was a joke until he it was time for his contract re-negotiation and Johnny Ace forgot to resign him. Vince liked how he stood up for himself and didn't just bend to them. Before that he was made fun of by almost everyone in power backstage. Michaels was the one who stuck up for him too. Without Michaels and him not wanting to re-sign, he would have been a huge joke, but he made a couple of good decisions.

He was champ for so long because they used him to put over the Rock. They wanted someone to look strong going in and he was the champ at the time and they kept it on him. Who did he feud with when he was champ? Miz? Alberto? Ryback :mjlol:

The only notable feud was the 2 months with Dbry, they had very good matches than that, trash.

We just gonna have to agree to disagree on this, we have went round and round on this like 8 times lol.

I never make shyt up, you need to fall back lol:
WWE News: Is Shawn Michaels Responsible for CM Punk's Rise to Glory? | Bleacher Report

According to pwtorch.com, Shawn Michaels may have saved CM Punk's career.

C.M. Punk's WWE career might have been saved by WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, according to former ECW brand head writer Dave Lagana in a new blog on IWantWrestling.com.

Lagana recalled that at the end of 2006 and 2007, there was a "den of negativity that existed" among the WWE agents regarding C.M. Punk. At a creative meeting in 2007, Michaels, who was consulting with Lagana on the direction of the ECW brand, spoke up about Punk.

As you may know, Punk was a big part of WWE/ECW in 2006 and 2007. He was not well received by the backstage powers that be. That was, until a meeting involving Shawn Michaels occurred. The meeting consisted of ECW writers, including head writer Dave Lagana.

Allegedly, Michaels had a discussion with Lagana about ECW's direction during that meeting.

According to Lagana:

Vince McMahon was scheduled to appear on ECW for the first time in the start of a new storyline. He was going to rid ECW of it’s “Original” stars and make the way for a “New Breed.” The meeting quickly turned into another CM Punk bash fest. My role was to run the meeting but dare not speak out of turn on the veteran agents. This was how the previous months meetings had gone but this day was different. It was a new voice in the room that changed everything. “Um, if you don’t like something the kid is doing, why don’t you work with him to fix it...instead of killing him.” That voice belonged to Shawn Michaels.

In 2006, Vince McMahon looked at Punk and “didn’t get it.” Plus, when you have Paul Heyman pushing heavily for you in that environment—you get the stigma of being a 'Paul Heyman Guy. I had the stigma because I worked with Paul on every run he had on creative from 2002-2006. Punk suffered for those sins and that night in December, he did not make the Big Show tap out. The agents who didn’t like him made sure the audience would not get a moment from CM Punk that night; Punk was the first man eliminated in the match.

"Didn't get it" and "thought he was a joke" are two different things.
I mean if you want to play semantics, but I think it's the same thing. It might have been Stephanie who said he was a joke, but between those 2 opnions and all the agents hating him, I was right.

They just talked on the Observer Radio from Monday on how much Stephanie has ALWAYS hated CM Punk lol.

And I do hate Punk, but he is decent in the ring. Overrated, but he can put on a good match when he needs too. It's his smugness, his overrated promos. his racism, and his general attitude towards fans and other wrestlers in the business that makes me dislike him and want him off my television. They just wasted time too much time and effort on him in my opinion.

It's hard to know just how good CM Punk really was because he peaked during the most watered down era in history. If there was ever a point where he was in fact the best on the roster than it's partly because there was never any real competition in the first place.

I dunno but he's still getting chants. At some point the fans thought he was the real deal.

They never hijacked ppvs like they did for Bryan....Survivor Series 13 and Rumble 14. Last time we saw Punk, he got eliminated and the crowd was chanting their hearts out for Bryan immediately after. Kind of like the ETHER Michaels got at Rumble 05 when the fans chanted for Eddie over him coming out

Daniel Bryan been the best overall since 2012, and been the best in the ring for a decade. Punk was on fire in 2011 though until it was HHHalted

They faced off at Over the Limit 2012 and the male fans cheered Bryan over Punk and gave Punk "NO" chants...people love to run from that Reality too.

2011-2013 he was top 3 at worst on the mic and in the ring :manny: in terms of full timers who were at least good at talking and wrestling he was top 2 along with Cena until Bryan got his character game up

HHH, Rock, Taker, Edge, HBK, Lesnar, Y2J all became part timers or retired during his run

In Ring: only Bryan had him beat with Shield and Cesaro gaining on him last year

On The Mic: only Cena and Henry were comparable during that time period

No, no, no...Bryan didn't have to get any character game up. He just weren't pushed like Punk, Cena, and Blandy was. As soon as he was on his own and not tweener? Crowd treated him like a future legend in the business by MITB 13.
