I'm looking at old shows on tv & I always noticed these nikkas hairlines are scust. How could u just get out the chair looking bummy.

Shape ups were invented to by nikkas trying to make money. Think about it. When afros were popular in the 70s, nikkas were not going to the salon/barber at all or as often. Once the black power movement was stifled along with afro it gave way for jheri curls, flat tops, etc. Barbers in Houston went as far as creating the southside fade which would cause you to get a cut every week just to keep it fresh. I'm growing my hair right now and probably won't see my barber for a while. Imagine if all other black men do what I am doing :pachaha:

Fresh hairlines is whats ruining TV nowadays. Everyone and their momma looks all clean, what happened to the authenticism? If I see someone walk onto a TV show with a hairline better than mine I turn the TV off quick.

One thing I noticed on 90s TV is that the black characters always had fukked up hair lines, eddie winslow, the black power ranger, the black kid of the secret world of alex mac, ect.

probably because they were cautious of the hair/makeup dept possibly fukking shyt up and pushing their line back. Could you imagine getting your shyt pushed back and having to wait a few weeks for it to grow back normal? and back then, those cats weren't ballin to a point where they could bring the barber on set with them, shyt that dudes like Diddy and them constantly do
