The internet and society in general was different back then. The fukkery you all remember so fondly would be frowned upon if attempted these days. You can't even use vulgar insults without someone about it now. Imagine if a popular Coli girl had her nudes exposed today in the same manner as SOHH. People would be outraged.

The internet was the wild west from 1997 to about 2007 and a winding down period from then to about 2013. We're in an odd period of society where there is extreme moral decay operating side by side with an almost 1950s like coddling. Strange bedfellows.
