What's a dog ya would recommend for a first time dog owner?

Bull dog. American or British

English Bulldogs a lot of work. And they expensive. You gotta clean the meat folds on they face. They have hip problems. They have breathing problems. Can't take them out when it's super humid and hot. And they stubborn as fukk. I got a EB male and he ain't fixed. This fool is damn near 8 years old and he good for marking his territory on the door or the side of the couch about once a week. He knows better. He just don't give a fukk. Between buying him, Vet bills, training, and having to get my carpet and furniture in the living room cleaned once a year this nikka probably done ran me for about 6 racks total. It's cool for me cuz I'm a dog lover and been around them my whole life so it's no biggie. But I could see a EB stressing the shot outta some Dog noob.

Edit- and they snore like crazy too. Can't forget about that. There have been nights where I go crash on the couch and little man just get to room to himself cuz I just can't take the noise.

All dogs, especially medium and large ones, are work. If you're lazy and don't exercise them they'll become destructive and hard headed. In most cases, larger the dog the more space they'll need so don't get a rottweiler and expect that muthafukka to be comfortable in your bachelor apartment.

Yes , they are very stubborn. They do things on THEIR time. Still, they are great dogs if you can take care of them. My dog is 8 years old as well
