Wonder why no one mentioned a bull terrier. Reading about it online and don't really see too much negatives.

Playful and friendly check. Check
But tear a hole in a burglars ass if need be. Check.
And doesn't take up space. Check
Little to no maintainence. Double check
Has no problem chilling by itself

Honestly I'd go with a chow or rotty....chows look like some hair bears but best believe they will get in some ass when it goes down. I'm had 6 of them. They was rotty mixed when a bytch got in my back yard and had babies under my shed. I've had 4 Rottys tho and they are hands down the best dog you can get treat it right And it will treat you right.

English bull dog. In in the market for a dog too this might be it. Not too big and is still considered manly. They are expensive as hell one female was going for about 2.7 last place I checked. :whew:

Yes @Gonzo English Bulldogs are great pets. Very loyal, docile and really sweet personality. The only reason I wouldn't recommend for a first time dog owner is the fact that they can have a lot of health problems, and skin problems. You would have to have time to clean the folds of there skin each day.

Also, as you mentioned, they are quite expensive. Luckily, when me and my girl split, I got to keep the dog. :jawalrus:

I have a miniature schnauzer. I would definitely recommend that (but it might be considered a bytch dog, lol). He's really friendly with kids and very protective of the house.

I have a pit and I completely agree.

Pitbulls probably require the most work, time, and patience of all dog breeds cause they WILL go through a young & reckless phase. If you ain't equipped to deal with even small things animals do then that will be literal hell.
Yeah, pitts are a handfull to say the least. dude was tearing up everything, and potty training him was a damn nightmare.

I've heard Labs are great with kids.

Negging anyone that says pitbull. First time owners are going to create a terrible situation in most cases for a pitbull. Most first time owners won't be ready for the stubbornness of pit bulls especially when that dog gets to the 10-15 month mark when they are in small tank in a china shop mode

A corgi is always a good choice :smugfavre:. Also a beagle :ohlawd:
thank you

I wish you and your loved ones the best
