I would argue it should be. Structure and discipline are key lessons to learn at a young age.

My mother is a teacher and she says they have parents calling in about their children failing at the end of the semester, when they've been failing since like september. THAT'S bad parenting.

I had bad parents. The not answering questions and trying to be invisible seems to ring true. It's easier to just not be there. I can see it.

At the same time, I think most people have bad parents. It is what it is.
