I got called ugly a good amount of times but the ones that stand out are when I was in 8th grade, in home economics there was this guy and his friend sitting across from me discussing girls. Their conversation eventually led to who they thought was pretty and of course I had to become the center of the convo I guess since I was right across from them. So they both started staring at me and the guy just came right out and said "she's ugly". I didn't say anything. I just acted like I didn't hear what he said.
Another time I was at a family Barbeque and all of the kids were hanging out in the room just talking and messing with each other while I was sitting around listening and laughing with them. Then suddenly one of my male cousins just felt compelled to tell me how ugly he thought I was. He looked straight at me and was like "lovelyday, you're really ugly."
There was other instances of people saying it including other family members but those two seemed to have really stuck with me for some reason.
Now if someone calls me ugly I don't give a f**k. Not everyone is going to find me attractive so why let it bother me?

I learned this at a young age....You will always be ugly to somebody. Same goes for the inverse.
Even if most people call you ugly - Think about how ugly they have to be inside, to try and spend their whole day clowning you about your genetics which cannot be changed.

If you are confident or ok with the way you look, it shouldn't feel like anything except for when certain people say it. ex, if your gf/bf/, wife/husband,parent,children called you ugly, then I could understand someone being hurt by that, but if it's anyone else, it shouldn't really bother you.
