He may never be a superstar, but Pop doesn't build stars. He builds dynasties.
KL is one of my favorite players, and he's on his way to the HOF, but he won't be seen as a superstar on the Spurs. He has a choice to make: either go somewhere else to be "the man", or stay in SA and win more rings in the future.

This whole I want to be the man theory doesn't make sense when it pertains to Kawhi.

They literally had to beg this dude to buy a new car after a couple years with the spurs. This is the same dude who was sing wingstop coupons.

I saw this nikka walking down Decatur st. In NOLA during all star game break a couple of years ago.

Nobody knew who he was, and it looked like thats the way he wanted it.

That’s a not a good look meeting him without given notice.
Sure they may have had good intentions but if I’m injuried and it’s bad enough media thinks of me and people think of me as soft or not that hurt and wanting to leave. But if I say I’m hurt take my word for it and look at my work ethic it says it all.
And u sneak meeting me would annoy the fukk outta of me

I really wish I knew what was going on with this Kawhi situation. Before this season their has been no inclination that he wanted out or was unhappy with the Spurs. And honestly I don't know how he could be unhappy. Now with Duncan gone and Parker and Manu on their last legs he had the chance last season to be the undisputed top dog on the team and he was getting a lot of consideration from cats as being THE best player in the league not just one of the top 5 or 10. Plus he's already got a title and 2 DPOY trophies. And with Pop at the helm he could easily win another title or two over the years. He needs to think twice if he really wants to give that up for a chance at whatever else he is looking for.
