No. Just no. You named 4 point guards out of how many who have played in the NBA? And only one was a legit All Sta out of that bunch. They are also athletic freaks. Consider Muggsy was described by many as the best high school basketball player they ever saw. He was a one man press, you couldn't put the ball on the floor twice without him ripping you. Even with that freakish talent, he couldn't be a great NBA player at that height. A lot of college players work way harder than you would expect. Without the elite talent, it can only make so much of a difference. There will never, ever be an era of 5'7-6'0 guards all over NBA rosters. No matter how much pipedream smoke young players inhale from the IT's of the world.

You missed his point and now you're missing mine, which is substantiating this assertion: "His point is that nikkas who think they weren't tall enough, are just deflecting from the fact they weren't talented enough."

Are you going to disagree with this? You can blame only being 5'9 for not making the league, but it didn't stop IT or Nate or Earl etc. etc. Because they had the talent.

Yeah but using exceptions to disprove rules is never sound, is all I'm saying. I grew up in a couple of the worse neighborhoods in 80s NYC, was homeless, lost a bunch of family and friends to shootings, drugs, and AIDS. I got a scholarship to a private high school and graduate Cum Laude, went to a top tier college and won mad awards, went to a top grad program and won fellowships. But to turn around and look at the people I grew up with in those communities and say "Look, see? Meritocracy is a real thing! Your circumstances are no excuse if you work hard!" I'd be mistaking the miraculous and aberrational nature of my educational achievements as a signifier of opportunity that statistically is nonexistent.

Isaiah isn't some freakish athlete like nate or iverson. He isn't some great shooter like steph. Isaiah worked at his game learning how to get his shots off against tall defenders. So if your undersized u got a shot at college ball. Isaiah's game is more based off hard work not natural ability.

He's really the son of Zeke Thomas, no one wants to admit this.

Does anyone think he's made a case for mvp?

Nah. IT has always had an extremely natural scoring nack. Kid is pretty much Kyrie in that he's just an unnaturally talented finisher.

When Isaiah hit the GW against a Derrick Williams-led Arizona team in the Pac-10 Championship I knew he would be a star...

I couldn't believe 59 passed on him. His handles, jumper, ability to run the P&R, penetrate, his heart all looked great. Looked a lot like A.I. and Nate to me.
