Between podcast and going back and finding albums I missed it's hard to stay up on the latest. Right now my rotation

Jay Rock-90059
Kendrick Lamar-TPAB
Suga Free-Street Gospel
R.A. the Rugged Man-Legends Never Die
Chico Debarge-Long Time No See
Snoop Dogg-Bush

Looking forward to listening to Documentary 2 since everyone is telling me it's good. I'm still digging through those Young Thug leaks. Then didn't even get a chance to put Future DS2 or WATTBA in play. There's still new Ross, KRIT, Ty Dolla $ign, and Big Boi :wow:

Plus checking out classics from other genres.

Breh...we need to talk about this kid....

Found out about him a few weeks ago... Yung swedish cac could be a problem :mjcry:

Havn't given the album a great listen to but iv'e been playing yoshi city non stop :mjcry:

I usually dont fukk with cacs because 9 times out of ten they are

1) my life is so hard too role and try to be extra lyrical like eminem _ people like MGK
2) realize they cac and just embrace it to the fullest which makes it corny - Lil dikky/mac miller
3) Just completley mimick current black music - slim jesus

Sonically they usually all suck and do old music thats repackaged as something "new" or just straight up do the new wave....they never add anything to the culture.

Ima give young sweeden a change... hows that album?

You need to listen to Unknown Death first (in order to appreciate the progression).

Word will do. And check the edit do you think yung sweeden fits into one of those categories or is he actually doing something different? Judging from yoshi city i feel like he is doing a current experimental wave but he adding his on twist on it :patrice:

BREHS PRODUCTION :damn::damn:

Thaiuboy got to get his visa's up :francis::mjcry:

We're in agreement, I was a little hesitant to give him a chance to begin with too because we've seen this story play out numerous times. IMO, I'm still not sure of what to make of he and his crew (The Sadboys). They're still all young, so time will tell. Most of the production is done in-house by Yung Gud, Yung Sherman and whitearmor1. The main thing that stands out to me about the album is the production, they've got a sound and it works for Yung Lean. Hip-Hop's Shang Tsung is on the album too, I believe Lean was meant to be on his album too but I guess the song didn't make the final cut. I mention Travi$ Scott being on the album because I feel the song he's on has a sound that may be the direction The Sadboys will continue to explore.

:patrice:

Ima give em a pass for now and def give their coalition a chance. They do seem young and im sure sweedish cacs dont know about aa cultural appropriation... (well if they are really trully down for hip hop they shoulod but then that leaves em in a weird space). Funny you mention travis thats the one artist (based off of a few diff songs iv'e heard) that he is comparable too. Unless yung sweed swishes up his sound OR he current mainstream sounds swishes from trap to this experimental/industrial/ ambient sound i dont see lean gaining MAINSTRREAM success in america so i dont thing we have to worry about that. And if it dose switch to that would that technically be appropriation because as of rn i think only him and travis are really doing that :patrice:

IDK it's weird seeing a cac doing something diff in hip hop....Ima remove Thug from the rotation so i dont ware him out add lean and get back to you. Def want to talk about this when i know more about his music.

Ya'll know if there is an itunes/m94/wav version of unknown death....only peasants rock with mp3 :mjpls:
