Some speak English and there's translation in some places. Honestly though it's better to learn the language. I know this African who got fluent in 18 months.

Politeness is a big thing so most of the uglier comments aren't really said in public.

You're gonna be treated as an attraction by a good majority of the people but they'll typically be pleasant or polite (A lot of times because they're kinda nervous).

Try not to let people or kids touch your hair in public. They don't mean bad but if you let one, you gonna open up flood gates.

Oh, if you planning on living there, get ready for winter.
