What's more important for speed and smoothness in a pc (non gamer)

I'm looking to replace my old PC and as a non gamer, I need to know which specs/compeonent I should prioritise and spend more money on.

graphics shouldn't matter too much depending on what you'll be using it for.

I'm assuming you're just using it for general usage and work? If so, an i5 (8th gen), ssd (storage depends on you), and 8gb of ram is good.
