Backstory

I worked as a server for about 5 years .Bussed tables and everything

I got a job as an area manager a year ago. Job is nice. I get most of my gas payed for, get to dress nice and pretty much make my own schedule. Not gonna lie it's pretty nice as far as labor intensive work and freedom goes. It feels good to walk around wearing nice clothes and being responsible for a lot of accounts. Plus sometime I work 8 hours a day, sometime I wake up and decide I don't wanna go anywhere and don't do shyt .

The issue is after working there a year I realized even with them taking care of my gas, I made about 15 grand more a year busting my ass serving tables. It's annoying, tiring and I just didn't feel like I was doing anything important.

What do you do. Do you keep the cushy job where you can do your own thing without worrying about a set schedule, not have to work weekends and not bust my ass physically( the stress at my new job can get intense, about 40 emails before fukking noon

I filled in at my old job as a server last weekend as a favor. I worked sat and Sunday for a total of 12 hours and walked with 500 in cash. shyt was :blessed:. I forgot the feeling of leaving work with cash money as soon as I was out the door

What would you do

Is missing out on that 15K hampering your lifestyle? If the difference in your day to day living and expenses are negligible, I'd keep the comfortable gig and forego the more strenuous, taxing job. You burned out on waiting tables before - you're going to burn out again. Unless you must have that extra 15K, I'd recommend preserving your sanity and staying put.

Keep doing what you doing breh. Work on the weekend every once in a while. The stressful job will wear you down again. Your sanity is more important than that 15gs...unless you NEED it.
