I've lived in Tampa for the past 6 years.

It's a chill place to live and raise a family

Houses in the good neighborhoods are expensive, but there are more affordable options about 20 minutes south of the city in areas like Riverview and Apollo Beach.

Hot AF during the summer months (May - September). Basically only have 3 seasons here.

The city is spread out, but if you're looking for culture, then a short drive over the bridge to St. Pete will do you good. Otherwise, expect to be around a lot of cacs and tourists.

Same goes for the strip clubs. You got plenty of white girls - if that's your thing - and dark haired Latinas.

Don't expect to see a bunch of super thick black girls. I've seen some in Orlando, but barely any in Tampa. Women are just built differently and are in really good shape.

St. Pete is even more chill and laid back than Tampa. Like a MUCH much more smaller San Diego. Plus all the beaches are on that side.

I'd live in St. Pete if it weren't so far from my job.

It's a good proximity from other cities in FL. Orlando, Sarasota, and Fort Meyers are all within a 2 hour drive.

We've taken trips to the other coast (Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood) and made it in about 3.5 hours.

I like it because of the good weather, I make better money than I did in GA, and I'm close to other major cities down here.

my dad lived there since I was like 8 .....I spent every summer there till I was like 16 then went back sparingly I've see it grow I was just there a month a go ....

my pops lives in Seminole Heights when I was a kid there were projects all around now they took them out and gentrifying the neighborhood.....not sure how they handled housing

but long story short it's very chill, laid back not as flashy or gaudy like Miami everyone seems more grounded here .......nightlife is A1 without the super VIP red rope feel of Miami ..it's also strip club capital apparently

can't speak on job market but economy here seems like it's on the uptick seeing more growth ...

women are nice I mean it's Florida ....not Miami where dimes walking everywhere but you'll see em' when you're out...

Summer heat sucks but that's Florida for you :manny: for me a great place to visit I love visiting especially around sept-dec. Other than that couldn't live there I need the energy and hustle vibes only a east coast city can provide .....if I move there I know I'd fall into that laid back culture and slack off

I go there every year for Christmas or Thanksgiving.

As an east coast person that's used to cities like Baltimore, DC, and Philly after actually living in them, Tampa feels like a suburb with a couple tall buildings thrown in the middle of it. It's a sprawling city.

- They have a ton of strip clubs but I've never been to anyone

- weather is nice compared to the northeast

- as someone mentioned earlier homes can be expensive because property taxes are high as fukk. But I guess that's because there's no income tax in Florida?

- seems to have a heavy harley biker culture

- seems ok to live there, but you may get bored there after a while.

All the comments on here true but the cheap houses part and the going to st.pete part :whoa:

The city is lit, night life is good and now they got some black owned spots that isn't some hood shyt and all the black girls in there are fine

Tampa is a younger city and it's gentrified af now. 15 years ago it was trash and dirty now it did a 360

Living in the city is expensive especially the south tampa area

It's like 40 strip clubs in tampa ( No cap)

Get use to going places with a mixed crowd of black, white and chicos.

Oh and any weed under 20 grams is a citation but hemp is legal so you can ay it's hemp and you will get away with nothing
