My past is too crazy for politics
I see what goes on in lower level, local government every day for work though![]()
what are the benefits of getting into politics
The same way we don't settle for men/women, we shouldn't settle with our politics and representatives.
Anyways, I'm trying to start volunteering for the Liberal Party in my area. Going to events, meeting some of these people and go from there. I really want to make some change, no Obama.
What does this mean??More direct input. The only way to ensure your ideas are at least being heard is to be there to present them. The more directly involved you are, the more likely for that to happen. That doesn't mean they will be implemented though.

What does this mean??
canadian politics seems slightly less corrupt than US politics. What i like about here is that it's not a two party thing. there are like 3 major parties and even the Green party has a voice.LMAO. I'm looking to work on the down low. I don't want anyone investigating my past or my family, I'm too private for that shyt.
Gotcha.Umm it's kind of like a "no homo" or "no pedo".
What does this mean??
lol, i think her seat is in quebec too, lol. I remember she got clowned to no end. she didn't even run a campaign and she won. I'm not even sure she voted. But the NPD (her party) was going strong and no one expected it...
Exactly, not to mention some branches you get paid well. I was reading a story on a girl who won a seating in the house. Still in college, not even bilingual and was in Vegas on election night. Making $80k a year and that's not even including the perks like travel, benefits etc.
Also, that retirement money![]()
Its not cool enough. See most people like to move in a crowd. Plus we have been conditioned to "let someone else handle that" I have a life to live. We are taught to chase
things that really have no value. Money, women, men, latest trends etc....
People place to much value on life fearing death like its not a place we all go in the end.
The problem is most people our age are low-information voters so most don't even bother to vote![]()
I agree with the OP, it's basically because my generation don't give a f*ck about anything. It's sad really how we lust after material things yet won't stand up for our future.
Oh, gotcha. His first campaign was about change, I'm not trying to be like him basically.
Pardon me, can I interrupt this youth bashing for a little bit?
Is it not true that the last 2 presidential elections had the highest youth voter turnout, or am I remembering something wrong?
