What strikes me (and I only notice now) is that Oak is actually separating players in both vids, in the Chicago brawl he's actually holding Pip back but it looks more like he's actually looking out for him. I remember Oak was still in Chicago when Pip was a rookie too.

Yeah that came to mind when I was watching the clip of the brawl. I dunno but to me it almost seems like he's trying to keep Pip away from it for a sec. Oak looks like the "tough love" kind of guy, and come to think about in all those years I don't remember him ever really getting into anything with Pip like that.

I thought about it when making the post. But I was more focused on brawls. Now there was a brawl before the punch but the punch was memorable not the brawl. Ok, I am analyzing this shyt like the Dez Bryant catch. Eh, fine it can be in the discussion

I get what you're saying, but it was still a brawl.

It is old as hell though so it's probably understandable that most don't reference it. I read "The Punch" when I was younger. Great book, I'd recommend it to any bball fans.

the best part bout this video is after the fight they just go back to hooping like nothing happened. didn't look like any ejections or anything
