:whoa: before y'all come in here in some:dahell::sitdown:
It's various things I'm asking because apparently I'm the overbearing father/uncle.
How young is too young to get weave out in Lil girls hair, wear make up, have social media accounts, etc?
At what age do we take Teddy bears from boys/young men?
This discussion came up recently because I didn't want my 3 yr old with weave and I said I wouldn't push make up on my oldest(16) but her aunts said I need to relax and stop being so uptight. Same with Teddy bears. My nephew 12 and carries around this Lil teddy bear and has feminine mannerisms. I told him, lol bruh if you gay it's cool we'll still love you but if you not stop behaving that way. Which is also the reason he gets bullied because he does it at school as well. So coli bruhs what's the age limit on these things in y'all opinions.

I wouldn't let my three year old wear weave. I think I had some braids one summer when I was a kid because I went to spend the summer with my great grandma. I was no more than 8, so I guess I get it. I would be okay with braids, but not other types of weave. And not those long down to your butt braids, something age appropriate.

I couldn't wear makeup until I was 16, and only eyeliner, mascara, and blush. I would probably be okay with around that age depending on my daughter. Could be earlier if she's into those types of things. But definitely not before high school. I wasn't prissy or girly so it wasn't a big deal to me.

Man I have three daughters. Me & their mother are in lockstep agreement that there will be no weave until they're old enough to pay their own hairdresser. No chemicals in their hair, either. I'm black and their mom is vietnamese so managing their hair takes work but I'm not damaging it with any weaves or chemicals. They all have a head full of hair and they'll thank me when they're older. My oldest does go with her mom to get her nails and toes done which si don't have a problem with. As far as makeup, it's natural for women to want to be dolled up and I'm fine with my girls doing girly things, but I'm not really giving them a green light on make up until high school at the earliest, and as upperclassmen at that. I got a feeling their mom will fight me on that though.

I bring him around my sons but after a while he runs back to her. He doesn't suck his thumb but that shyt pisses me off. I was ready to start the purge because I thought she had some weirdo around him and my nephew was tampered with

Little black girls have no business wearing weave. Hell no. Good job stepping in and deading that crap. They should make that decision for themselves when it comes time, maybe 12-13 years old. Same thing with the makeup, let the 16 year old make that decision for herself. Now your nephew :francis: I’m not gonna say he’s gay but he sounds soft and moist. The men in his life need to take the teddy bear out his hand and put a football in it or summ but in all honesty he might be too far gone from Harlem at this point :francis:

100% it's the mother's fault. Big issue is women CANT raise men. I know first hand. Should've went to live with my father early but mom put a stop to that :yeshrug: had to learn on my own, the hard way but I'm grateful for coming to my senses in the end.

Try to convice her to put that boy in sports and DONT let him quit until he completes the year. If he wants out after a full season it's a wash and I'd drop it.
